Here's Dermot's first Christmas present. Look at the stack behind him. He got more from his grandparents, two of his uncles and aunts, and one of his great-aunts and uncles. He got quite the load. We had to move out some of his old toys to make way for the new ones. the best part, though, is that he plays with almost everything that he got.

See how nicely Brynna watches Dermot open his gifts? He did not return the same courtesy. He was all business.

Of course, as soon as Dermot opened a present, we had to work on getting it out of the box while he moved on to the next present.

Present unwrapping is a serious business!

Here are Dermot and Brynna in Dermot's cool Diego Ball Fort. You put a bunch of plastic balls on the top, and then the kids can pull the thin plastic sheet down and all of the balls fall down on their heads. Yeah! Good times. Dermot didn't mind Brynna being in the fort with him, but he did not like it when it was her time to pull the tab. He has some serious sharing "issues".

Cousin cuteness. This is Dermot's new way of saying "Cheese". He scrunches up his face and keeps his eyes closed for a long time. I think that he does not like the flash. Brynna, however, was a pro.

Christmas Eve cuteness at Nana and PopPop's house.

Here are the final result of my sugar cookie making. Notice the circle with the D on it. Dermot requested that, but then later he wouldn't eat it. He didn't like the cookies with the frosting on them. So he only ate one cookie. Next year, I guess I'll see if he just wants colored sugar.

Here's Dermot helping me make Christmas sugar cookies. Yum.
It was my birthday, but Dermot got two balloons and I got two. I got two small purple ones, and Dermot got Dora and Thomas the Tank Engine (not pictured). He kept trying to get Dora to sit down. He didn't understand why she kept floating up to the ceiling. He thought that cutting her string/ribbon would help. It didn't.
Again, it was my birthday, but Dermot thought that I should have birthday hats. So he picked out Bob the Builder. His hat is on backwards. He also picked out party horns featuring Bob the Builder. I didn't realize how hard those things are for kids. It took him a while to learn not to put his mouth really far on the tube part. Then he kept ruining them by spitting into them while he was blowing. It was disgusting. They kept disintegrating.
Dermot's first visit with Santa. He was only one of two kids in his class who was not upset with Santa and was actually willing to pose for a picture with Santa. He got a small garbage truck in his Dora wrapped package.
