Pictures of Dermot
April 29, 2006
Dermot kept asking for a watch. So he got a Dora watch (or Dodo as he calls her). Look how happy he is.

He's the coolest kid in town. I think that his football is his new lovey. He took it to bed with him tonight.
Yeah, it's time for new summer outfits!

Here's King Crab eating his bini (tubini).
Here's Soya checking out Elmo

DEESE!
Here's Dermot smiling on cue. He says deese instead of cheese, but it's so cute.

Our own little Bob the Builder wearing his imitation hard hat. I think that Dermot has finally learned to smile on cue, but only when he wants to.

All Elmo all the time. Dermot's sitting on his picture, but Elmo's on the chair too.

We went to the zoo yesterday, and Dermot was fascinated with the ducks. I think that he hears about them so much in different kid books, and we play with rubber ducks in the bath, that he was happy to see the real thing.
Dermot liked the flamingos too.
Hey, what's that?

Dermot is unfortunately fascinated with his tongue again. This time instead of just sticking it out, he's practicing spitting and dribbling water out of his mouth. He doesn't do it too much, but yuck.
"I'm ready for my closeup!"
"Man, do I have a lot of chores to do around the house today!"
"I will open these damn waffles!" Here is Dermot learning just how hard boxes are too open. He was so determined that he didn't care how he opened them.

Doesn't he look like he's up to something?

Check out Dermot's new rain/garden boots. He insisted on putting them on as soon as we got home from Target.
Look at how high I can jump!
Apparently Ethan got a much better picture of this than I did. See the April 1 entry to see what this is all about.
Dermot and some of the things he loves: Elmo, The Count, Ernie (Uh-nee), his Boppy, a walking penguin (in honor of mommy), and a Wiggles DVD case. He is such the toddler these days.
Homuh!

I know this is blurry, but I've had trouble capturing his new obsession on the camera. Dermot is holding an "earth bell". It's meant to be a percussion instrument. You strike the blue metal part with the mallet that Dermot is holding and it makes a sound kind of like a tuning fork. Dermot does that once in a while, but he loves to pretend that he is blowing bubbles with it. He puts the mallet in the bottom of the metal tube and then takes it out and blows through it. At first we didn't know what he was doing because he would just hold the two pieces and say "buhbuh". Finally he blew on the mallet and we knew exactly what he was talking about. This is the most complex piece of imagination that he has done at home, and we were quite proud.
I'm all ready to go! I've got my water and my Cabbage Patch diaper bag. Also, check out my new shoes. They have construction things on them and they light up.
